Mac is a great dog but most don't get along with him. He was brought up with a cat so one of his eccentricities is that he growls in place of purring. There are serious growls though so you have to be able to read him! He's a grump mostly, but sometimes he pretends he's a lap dog and gives you a cuddle. I've grown up with him and he's been the greatest dog to grow up with, and also like a cat, he was a challenge to get to know. He's lovely!  

Caly is 1 yr and 7 month old female cocker, that is black and white parti. i got her from a breeder in Trenton, Florida. She is a beautiful cocker also that is very loving, but protective over food and me. She loves to go on walks and car rides. she also loves to play and run around in the back yard. 

Maggie is not only beautiful, she has the sweetest, most calm and gentle temperament. She's wonderful with our baby daughter and everywhere we go people love her. She loves to snuggle and recently grew to love playing fetch after spending some time with our friend's Golden Retriever. I call her my angel all the time and she really is one. I've had cocker spaniels my whole life and everyone of them has been a wonderful family pet.

One day I went into a pet store to look at fish and just feel in love with my Maggie girl. There she was in her little room playing with her little chew toy. Her with her beautiful buff blonde and strawberry red tones I just had to have her. She was about 2 months then she is now 2 years and 6 months and expecting her first litter. The daddy is Mikey he is the black cocker spaniel we got him on yet another trip to get fish and my daughter feel in love with him he is jet black with a small patch of white on his chest and neck he was also about 2 months when we got him he is now 1 year and 5 months.

I originally adopted Mariah from the local shelter when she was 2 yrs. old.. The previous owner's had her tied up in their backyard. She is an extremely smart dog. When I first saw her, she started barking at me like crazy. I figured I didn't like a dog growling and barking like that, but the shelter manager encouraged me to take her out for a visit. The next day when I went back to get her and sign the papers, the front desk was busy, so I walked back to her kennel to see her. She had a window above her kennel and Mariah was looking the opposite way when I walked up to the window. I lightly tapped on the window and she turned around and came running right up to the window. I went in to see her and she got all excited and didn't even bark at me. She remembered me from the previous day! All the vocalization from the previous day was just her "talking" like a typical cocker.

After I had a medical emergency and Mariah stuck right by my side, I realized she would make a good service dog for me. We went to a trainer that trains dog and owner together. She and I have a very special bond. Mariah does not like to be separated from me. She will even follow me around in my small apartment. Like I was told once by a friend, "she needs me and I need her."

Mars is a very energetic young man who seems to be interested in everything. He is my first cocker and he is always proving how smart his breed really is, even if he is a bit stubborn at times...
but hey what kid isn't? 

Max is a loveable little Cocker. He's mainly black, with a white chest, and just a touch of white on his paw and chin. He started off small, and has stayed right around 20 lbs. He's our first dog, and came only after years of begging. It's interesting that when my husband finally agreed, and we got our puppy, that it didn't take long for Max to become Daddy's favorite family member! Max has 4 human siblings, who help take care of him, love him and train him. Max knows lots of tricks, and gives little dog shows at church picnics and for school Show-and-Tells. He loves to perform! 

This is our Max at 9 weeks when we got him. We are not sure but we have been told he is an english cocker. Max is the sweetest and smartest puppy I have ever met. He meets all of us when we come home at the door. It doesn't take him long to learn new tricks. He is now 12 weeks and he is potty trained, sits, comes, etc. We love him soo much, wouldn't trade him for the world. 

He is very rambunctious and loves to play a lot. He loves cats and his stuffed frog. He loves his life-long mate, Abbie, which is a Cocker Spaniel Mix. We love him to death.

Max is a happy go lucky little fellow that loves all the attention he gets. No better little man could i ask for.

We got Maximus from the "Lost Dogs Home" on the 14th of September 2000. American Cocker Spaniels aren't very popular in Australia so Max always gets asked if he is a Spoodle! He finds this terribly insulting. Max thinks the world revolves around him. He loves himself and food. He is the funniest, gentle and loving little man. His favourite place is the beach. This is where he performs SANDMAN. As soon as he gets wet he runs out and covers himself with sand - so much so that it gets up his nose and it causes lots of sneezing and breathing difficulties. This picture is of Max heading to the beach with his good friend Herbie. Max likes to chase bees - which has so far not resulted in any catchings - lucky for Mum and Dad and the local Vet. Max eats red rubber bands if they are left lying around. He has his own toy basket and has removed all eye balls on all of the toys. 

Maximus Devlin Ells has definitely been a wonderful addition to our family. Max lives with his humane owners Michelle and her 21/2 year old son Dustin. We love taking him for walks and to the park for it is perfect weather here. Max's best friend is Tori our Siamese mix. Max and Tori are the best of friends and get along great together. Often times mommy has all her kids sleeping with her! Dustin, Max, and Tori find spots to curl up with and we are all somehow interlined.

Max unfortunately does not like car rides for he throws up every time. We try to walk everywhere, however that only last so long. Max is also enrolled in a puppy training class at Petsmart and is one of the smartest ones in his class. He's been a wonderful pet thus far and keeps a smile on all of our faces. 

Megan loves to chase squirrels, birdies, kitties and any other animals in our backyard! She doesn't really like doggie food, so she begs us for people food and doggie treats. Megan loves to go "Bye Bye" and her favorite stores are the petstore and Dairy Queen's drive thru because they give her doggie treats. Megan is a great doggie!

Megan came to me in a very sad way. Apparently, her former owner had dumped her in the middle of the night at Kenosha Humane Society right before Christmas 2005. She had staph infections, arthritis, complete deafness, among other problems, and was turned over to Shorewood Cocker Rescue. I adopted her right before New Year's Eve. It took a couple months for her to get over her difficulties, but she now looks and acts years younger than when I adopted her. She can now run with my other cocker and springer at the dogrun, and sometimes I forget that she is deaf. She has turned into quite a cuddler, and she is quite the Momma's Girl, she cries whenever I am out of her sight. She has taught me that it's never too late to keep trying, and she has given me lots of love for taking in a sick, cold cocker and turning her into a very happy girl.

Milo is a curious, waggy, happy dog with beautiful, expressive brown eyes. He likes to run in the woods and in parks, play fetch and sniff everything. He keeps his head low when he scoots across the earth, careful not to miss any crumb or bug. When he wants attention, he groans and uses his snout to nuzzle my hands for a round of petting. He sleeps at my feet and is the most faithful companion in my life. 

My baby, spoiled rotten. I have forgotten what it was like to have a puppy again. She brings so much joy to us, and how could anyone ever be angry at a face like that? She came from Mary Lou Mackenzie at Ican Kennels in Meager's Grant, NS. 

Mojo was born January 31, 2005. She is almost 10 wks old. They just grow so fast. She is a chocolate and white cocker spaniel from Indianapolis, IN. She is almost potty trained and sits on command. Her parents are Brian and Miranda, and she has a brother and a sister, Tyler & Mckayla. Her favorite past time would definatly be chewing!!! (NOTE: she was about 7 wks in the pic) 

Mollie is a 20 month old cocker spaniel mix. I adopted her from an animal shelter when she a few months old, so I’m not sure what she’s mixed with. She loves car rides, people, other dogs, playing fetch, and has never turned down a belly rub.

My puppy Molly is a 6 month old cavalier king Charles spaniel/cocker spaniel X. I just love her to bits! She has been a joy to potty train, and has delighted us with her ability to quickly learn tricks such as sit, shake a paw, drop, roll and speak.

Molly loves going for car rides, she is a loyal and jovial companion, always happy to meet someone new. She loves going for walks to grandma's house. She also comes with us when we visit friends who have puppy friends for her to play with.

Right now Molly is cutting her adult teeth and this means she loves to CHEW everything she can get her paws on. Fortunately she has plenty of squeaky toys of various textures but we do have to watch her closely. Molly is a constant source of joy, intelligent, playful and oh so very cute! 

Molly is an 8 month old english cocker and is a total sweetie! Molly loves everyone and everything (except vacuum cleaners!) She is totally loyal and loving and loves being part of the family. Her favorite thing to do is play with my children - she thinks she's one of them! When they run around she runs around and when they're quiet she's quiet too! Molly is very clever and is very good at getting her own way.... those eyes!!!......... We love her to bits!!! 

Mr. Pickles, was adopted here in San Diego, from a local shelter. He wasn't always "Pickles" But has quickly adopted and loves the name. Before he entered the shelter, his previous owners dropped him off on the highway, a very kind hearted lady saw this, and rescued him right away, but ended up having to take him to the shelter shortly after. And now he is safe at home, here in San Diego. He's a very active little boy, who loves his tennis ball. He loves to cuddle, and is very very loyal to his Family. And despite his past still loves the car rides, even if it is to the vet. Pickles, smiles constantly and loves to give kisses! He knows he is spoiled rotten, but him and the family wouldn't have it any way else. Mr. Pickles, is very intelligent, and since he is still a new addition to this house, he still is quickly learning many tricks. His favorite, is bringing his leash to his "people" when he wants to go outside. Pickles, fits right at home here,..and has finally found his forever home here with his forever Parents.  

Murphy came to live with us on the 23rd of September 2006 and has already settled in well. Murph doesn't look his age apart from his grey chin!! Murphy loves running about in the bushes but his black coat makes it impossible for us to see him!! He loves swimming in the sea, watching tv, playing with his toys and throwing them about. Murphy has very stylish hair and big conker eyes, but has a number of bad habits which include licking everyone he comes into contact with repeatedly and eating chocolate advent calenders. Murphy is always happy to see us: greeting us with a little dance and bringing shoes, slippers and the odd treasured childhood toy...
