{"id":255,"date":"2011-04-15T12:17:43","date_gmt":"2011-04-15T16:17:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycockerspaniel.com\/?p=255"},"modified":"2011-04-16T00:52:15","modified_gmt":"2011-04-16T04:52:15","slug":"fallen-cocker-saved-by-rescuers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mycockerspaniel.com\/blog\/?p=255","title":{"rendered":"Fallen cocker saved by rescuers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A buff cocker spaniel named Mocha who fell over steep cliff was rescued by Los Angeles based <a title=\"facebook page for SmART\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SmART.LA\" target=\"_blank\">Small Animal Rescue Team<\/a> (SmART).\u00a0 It happened Wednesday, when Mocha and his owner were walking along steep terrain in Porter Ranch, California. The rescue took place late at night in heavy winds with rescuers repelling on the steep cliff with safety harnesses.\u00a0 Rescuers brought Mocha to safety using a small stretcher.\u00a0 Mocha appeared well but was taken to a vet for examination.\u00a0 Then anxious owner was grateful to have him returned.<\/p>\n<p>SmART is a group of trained rescuers certified in Swiftwater Rescue and rope rescue.\u00a0 SmART is the first animal rescue team in the country.
