English or American?

I’ve always owned Pit Bulls and never thought I would end up with a “smaller” breed. I want to further my education on Onyx and I cannot quote tell if his considered English or American. I also don’t know if one or the other has certain characteristics I should be aware of

any input is highly appreciated 😊

he’s a bit hard to photograph as he is constantly moving

I can’t tell. It looks like he’s mixed. I’m looking at that long coat on his legs.

Onyx is a beautiful boy. I believe he is a field bred American cocker. He is a Tri. Unless I'm mistaken, he will have a lower maintenance coat which is a blessing! He reminds me of one of my boys who left me in 2008, his name was Patrick and he was American Cocker and Springer Spaniel
